Lauren Daniels joined the firm in 2003 and is presently a senior litigation associate. Anna Schwartz is a senior associate at the firm, where she handles complex medical malpractice matters, professional disciplinary hearings, and insurance coverage issues.  Prior to joining the firm in 2003, Ms. Schwartz was a senior associate at a New York City medical malpractice defense firm where she gained a special focus in obstetrical malpractice cases. 

She interned at New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation as well as the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.  She is admitted to practice in the Courts of the State of New York, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Joe Swart has been an associate attorney with the firm since 2004, specializing in all aspects of medical malpractice litigation. Before joining the firm, Mr. Swart was an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where he spearheaded long-term criminal investigations into narcotic and firearm trafficking cartels. His investigations received attention from national media, including Court TV, The New York Times and HBO.

Mr. Swart is also a recurring guest commentator on Court TV (TruTV). He has provided expert legal analysis of high profile criminal cases, including the trial of NBA standout Jayson Williams (2004), Scott Peterson (2004) and pop star Michael Jackson (2005).

Mr. Gross comes to Garson DeCorato & Cohen with extensive litigation experience. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gross was an Assistant State Attorney in Miami Dade County, Florida. As a member of the Career Criminal Division he tried over forty felony cases in front of a jury. In law school, Mr. Gross clerked for Eastern District Federal magistrate Judge Cheryl Pollak. Mr. Gross’ legal career began as a New York City Police officer and gained extensive courtroom exposure during his nine year tenure.
