Jason Turken, a partner, is an experienced defense lawyer whose practice is concentrated in medical malpractice, construction, environmental, toxic tort and catastrophic loss litigation. Trying civil cases since 1992, he has tried and obtained defense verdicts in numerous high exposure matters, including wrongful death actions. He has represented physicians and nurses at hearings before the New York State Department of Health and New York City Department of Investigation, and litigated matters against the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and New York City Department of Environmental Protection. Mr. Turken has been lead counsel in matters before the Commercial Division of the New York State Supreme Court, and has successfully prepared and argued many appeals before the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.
